The shot above shows a roofer fixing modern corrugated sheeting. It is not wrought iron any more but coated steel. The coating as an alloy of zinc and aluminium. The main patent holder world wide is the US "Galvalume" company with various subsidiaries around the world. The Australian BHP company calls it "Zincalume". I doubt if there are many original wrought iron sheets left, but it is still possible to get the genuine galvanised on steel product. It just costs more. This is from a recent heritage project.
